Is there a way to call or email Facebook?
No. The phone number listed for Meta plays a recording. Emails to old support addresses go unread. Regular accounts get help through forms, and that is all.
The forms do work. The trick is picking the right one. Each channel below is free unless we say otherwise.
1. The Facebook Help Center
The Facebook Help Center is the main channel. It looks like a help site. But many articles end with a link like “let us know”. Those links open the forms. Search your problem first. Then look for the link at the bottom.
Best for: login trouble, names, pages, and privacy.
2. Report a problem in the app
This is the fastest way to flag a bug.
- Open Facebook and tap your profile picture or the menu.
- Go to Settings & privacy → Help & support → Report a problem.
- Describe what is broken in one or two lines. Add a screenshot.
You will rarely get a personal reply. Facebook uses these reports to spot bugs that hit many people.
3. Hacked account: facebook.com/hacked
If someone else is in your account, start here. Go to facebook.com/hacked. It finds the account, resets the password and logs out other devices. Our hacked Facebook account guide walks through each step in order.
4. Disabled account: the appeal form
A disabled account shows a message when you log in. Read it. If it offers a review button, use it. If it does not, search the Help Center for “disabled account” and open the appeal form. You will need your name, the email or phone on the account, and often a photo of your ID. Send it once.
5. Meta Verified chat support
Meta Verified is a paid plan. It includes live chat with a real agent. If your page matters to your income, this is the one way to reach a person on demand. Look under Accounts Center → Meta Verified for the price in your country.
Honest note: chat agents help with login, security and billing. They cannot undo a rule decision on the spot.
6. Business Help Center for ads and pages
If your problem is an ad account, a payment, or a business page, use the Business Help Center. Advertisers with active spend often get chat there. Personal accounts do not.
7. Official Meta social accounts
Meta posts outage news on its official accounts, such as @Meta and @facebookapp. They do not handle account cases in replies or DMs.

Fake “Facebook support” to avoid
This is the part we see go wrong most often. Someone searches “Facebook support number” and calls the first result. The person on the line asks for a login code or a gift card. Or a page gets a message from “Meta Business Support”. It says the page will be deleted in 24 hours. There is a link. The link asks for the password.
Facebook does not work this way.
- Facebook does not publish a phone number for account help.
- Facebook does not message you from a random page about deletion.
- No real agent asks for your password, a login code, or a payment to “restore” an account.
If you already gave a code or password, change your password now. Turn on two-factor login. Then open Where you’re logged in in Accounts Center. Remove devices you do not know.
The same rule applies to any service. Famoid sells Facebook page followers and post likes at famoid.com/facebook. We only need the page or post link, never a login. No honest service needs your password.
How long does Facebook take to reply?
There is no set time. Form replies can take days. Appeals can take hours or weeks. Submit once and keep your email and phone nearby. Repeat requests do not move you up the queue.
