As of September 22, 2026, the most followed account on TikTok is Khaby Lame (@khaby.lame), with 162,972,211 followers. Second place goes to Charli D'Amelio (@charlidamelio), with 160.2M.
The TikTok top 50 looks different from Instagram's. Many of the biggest names became famous on TikTok itself: comedy, dance, magic tricks and short sketches. Next to them sit stars who came from elsewhere, like singers, actors and football clubs.

How the top spot changed over time
The title of most followed TikTok account has changed hands a few times. Baby Ariel was one of the first to hold it. Then came Lisa and Lena, twins from Germany, who deleted their account in March 2019 with more than 32 million followers.
Loren Gray took over in 2019. Charli D'Amelio passed her in March 2020, and later that year she became the first account to reach 100 million followers.
In June 2022, Khaby Lame passed Charli. He is still number one today, with 163.0M followers.

- Live counts, once a day. Every day we read the public follower count of each account we track. We use the same lookup as our free TikTok counter.
- Ranked by that day's number. The order on this page comes from the counts, not from an old list.
- Exact, not rounded. Profiles show "162.9M". The table shows every digit, plus the change since the day before.
- A wide net. We track more accounts than the 50 we show, so an account that climbs fast still appears.
Accounts sometimes change their username. When a handle changes, it drops out of one day's reading until we update it. If you spot a gap, tell us and we will fix it.
How did these accounts get so big?
Most of them posted short videos often, for years, in one clear style. Khaby Lame's silent reactions and Zach King's edits are good examples: you know what you will get before the video starts. TikTok shows videos like that to people who liked similar ones, so each hit brings in new followers.
