The short answer
You can see who viewed your TikTok profile with a setting called Profile view history. Turn it on under Settings and privacy, then Privacy, then Profile views. TikTok then lists the accounts that visited your profile in the last 30 days. You only see people who also have the setting on, and they see you too.
What Profile views shows and who can use it
Profile view history is a list of accounts that opened your profile. It is off by default. When it is on, TikTok shows you visits from the past 30 days.
There is a catch. You only see visitors who have the same setting turned on. If someone views you with it off, they do not appear.
It works both ways. When you visit a profile that has it on, that person sees your visit. Your name lands in their list. TikTok explains this in its Profile view history help page.
TikTok sets two rules for this feature:
- You must be 16 or older.
- You must have fewer than 5,000 followers.

The other person must also meet the rules and have the setting on. So a large account can never appear in your list, even if it visited you.
How to turn on profile views on TikTok
Here is the path from your settings:
- Open TikTok and tap Profile at the bottom.
- Tap the Menu button at the top right.
- Tap Settings and privacy.
- Tap Privacy, then tap Profile views.
- Turn Profile view history on.
There are two shortcuts. On your profile, tap the Profile views button at the top, then the Settings button. Or open Inbox, tap Activities, and find Profile views. Both lead to the same switch.
Once it is on, the Profile views button on your profile shows the list. New visits also show up as notifications in your Inbox.
Profile views vs post views
TikTok has a second setting called Post view history. It covers your videos, not your profile. The two work differently.

How to see who viewed your TikTok video
Post view history is the closest thing TikTok offers. Turn it on in the same Privacy menu, under Post views.
TikTok’s Post view history page says the list shows three groups:
- Followers who have Post view history on and watched your post.
- People who do not follow you but liked or commented. They show up even if their setting is off.
- Only views on posts from the last 7 days.
This is not a full list of viewers. A stranger who watched and scrolled past does not appear. Your video’s view count still counts them, but TikTok does not name them.
One more detail. If you like or comment on a post, that shows as a view to the owner. This happens even if you turn Post view history off. Story views are tracked on their own and are not part of this setting.
Why you may not see the option
If Profile views is missing from your Privacy menu, check these:
- Your age. The account must be set to 16 or older.
- Your follower count. It must be under 5,000. Once you cross that line, the feature is gone.
- Your app version. Old versions may hide newer settings. Update the app.
- An empty list. The setting can be on and still show nobody. That means no one with the setting on visited you in the last 30 days.
The follower limit surprises people. Growing past 5,000 removes profile views for good. If you are close to that number, this is worth knowing. Most creators still take the trade, since bigger accounts get more, like the 1,000 followers you need for Live.
How to turn it off
Go back to the same switch. Tap Profile, then Menu, then Settings and privacy. Tap Privacy, then Profile views, and turn Profile view history off.
Once it is off, two things happen. You stop seeing who viewed your profile. And other people stop seeing that you viewed theirs. You can browse profiles without leaving a trace.

Apps that promise to show your viewers
No app can show you more than TikTok shows you. TikTok has no public way for outside apps to read your viewer list. So any app or website that promises “see everyone who viewed your TikTok” cannot deliver.
These apps usually ask for your login or a payment. Never give your password to anyone. Use the two settings above and nothing else.
